MY STORY

Having just finished my Honours in Biological Science at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, I am an over enthusiastic and passionate conservationist with not as much experience as I would like. I grew up in the sticks alongside the Okavango River, located in the Caprivi Strip. Being the only white kid for a 300km radius, I learned to enjoy my freedom in the bush.

Adventure has always been a top priority in my life however; I do not profess to be the bravest individual around. My family still likes to share stories of me hiding under the dashboard when any elephant ventured to close to our vehicle, on our regular visits to Kruger National Park. Having completed my school and university I am eager to get out there into the world and EXPERIENCE it. The Okavango Delta, Dibatana Research and Monitoring Camp is my first stop to becoming a wildlife conservationist.

I have always had a passion for animals. While growing up our household was often converted to an animal orphanage, hosting both great and small, from calves and horses to tortoises and bush babies. I hope to be able to put this passion to good use along with my degree and learn more about the beautiful animals of our continent.
